Эмоциональная география островной Арктики. Соловецкие острова.

Реболда/Rebolda
«В молодости везде ездили, смотрели. Реболда – одно из любимых мест. Это поселок, где добывали водоросли. Мы с женой жили там в 80-е годы. Сейчас поселок практически заброшен»
“When we were young, we travelled around a lot, saw many places. Rebolda was my favorite place. It was a village, where they harvested algae. My wife and I lived there in the 1980s. Nowadays the village is almost abandoned”
«На Реболде работала 8 лет – с апреля по ноябрь, чистота и порядок были. По острову ездили за ягодами и грибами, на рыбалку. На Семиостровское озеро ездили, но сейчас там всё загажено, люди на квадроциклах приезжают»
“I worked in Rebolda for 8 years, from April until November. There was cleanliness and order. We travelled around the island to collect berries and mushrooms, and went fishing. We went to Lake Semiostrovskoye. But now it is very filthy there, a lot of people come on their quad bikes”
«Реболда – это монастырские старые скиты, старые тони, где они раньше рыбу добывали. В XIX веке были задействованы эти тони»
“Rebolda has old monastery hermitages, and old fisheries, where they used to fish. These fisheries were used in the 19th century”

«Я вот ушла с той квартиры (на ул. Северная), но я ни на один день не забываю, как мы жили… Каждый день вспоминаю!»
“I left that apartment (on Severnaya Street), where I used to live. But not for a single day I forget how well we lived there…I remember it every single day!”

Анзер/Anzer Island
«Раньше на Анзер ездили отдыхать, но сейчас он закрыт для посещения, так как это – монастырская земля. А до 1997 года ездили туда День рождения справлять»
“We used to go to Anzer to relax, but it is closed to visitors now, because this land belongs to the monastery. And before 1997 we went there to celebrate our birthdays”

The monastery – the fortress
Монастырь в школьные годы был сравнительно легкодоступен. Можно было попасть на галерею. Иногда сидели на галерее, разных постройках. Поползать всюду можно было. То есть интересное место было. На купола залезали Спаса-Преображенского монастыря, собора, когда там ещё леса стояли. На колокольню тоже залезали»
“In my school years the monastery was pretty easy to access. We used to climb the gallery. Sometimes we would sit on the monastery gallery, sometimes on other buildings. We climbed onto the domes of the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery, the cathedral, when there were still scaffolds there. We climbed the bell tower, too”

The Beletskaya Bathhouse
«Раньше была баня, общая баня. Все туда приходили, разговаривали. Сейчас все досками заколочено»
“There used to be a bathhouse, a public bathhouse. People used to go there and talk. Now it is boarded up”
«Мы туда все ходили, всем поселком. Ее закрыли только лет 10 назад. Сейчас она в ведении монастыря. Мы туда ходили всем посёлком в 80-е, 90-е годы»
“All of us, the whole village went there. It was closed ten years ago. Right now, it belongs to the monastery. But in the 1980s and 1990s, all villagers went there”
«Для меня, например, да и для многих, кто давно здесь жил, была хорошая общественная баня в своё время. К сожалению, она сейчас не используется. Называется Белецкая баня. Можно сказать, что это было общественное место, где собирались, обсуждали некоторые вопросы»
“For me, as well as for many other people who have been living here for a long time, one of the good places was the public bathhouse. Unfortunately, it is not functioning now. It was called Beletskaya Bathhouse. One could say, it was a public place, where people gathered together to discuss certain issues”

Школа /
The school
«Согласно планам, у нас должны быть и очистные сооружения, и школа новая, и садик новый, и музыкальная школа новая, но каждый год эти планы всё меняют и меняются, поэтому ничего нет. Ничего абсолютно нет!»
“According to development plans, we were supposed to have a sewage treatment facility, a new kindergarten, and a new music school, but every year these plans change, and we have nothing! Absolutely nothing!”

Агаровый завод/
The agar factory
«Заготовкой ламинарии, в основном, занимался агаразавод. Агаразавод он назывался и вот там было… Все приезжали… приезжали например любители собирать ламинарию, потом сдавали, те высушивали и переправляли уже в Архангельск. Там дальше с этой травой работали»
“The kelp was mainly harvested by the agar factory. It was called ‘agarazavod’ and there it was... many people came there... for example, some lay workers came to collect kelp, and then they handed it over to the factory, where it was dried and sent to Arkhangelsk. In Arkhangelsk, they processed the kelp further”
