«Да у нас и сейчас-то хорошо. И сейчас-то хорошо, только что у нас культура так вот немножечко хромает. И вот здание клуба вот это течёт, а на него ноль внимания. Отопления нету. Ну а летом-то там полный зал народу! Вот так, концерты проводят – полный зал!»

“We’re doing fine even now. It’s alright now, except for the community culture – it is poor. And the club’s roof is leaking, and nobody pays any attention to it. There’s no heating. But in summer it’s full of people! When there’s a concert – it is fully packed!”

“Now some women go to exercise there, they have put together an amateur art group, the “Pomorochka” choir. So, at least that’s something. But there were some quiet times, too. Especially during this pandemic. That was so disheartening, so to speak. I feel sorry for the club, I truly do”

«У нас был клуб сначала в церкви. Вот в этой вот, которая не эта Никольская, а где с печками – Христо-рождественская-то. Там был клуб, и потом в начале 1980-х годов был построен кирпичный клуб. Такое большое здание, там клуб был несколько лет буквально, потому что почему-то каждый год с отоплением какие-то проблемы были. Там в первую же зиму, по-моему, что-то там разморозили, клуб был тут где-то в конторе, кино показывали в актовом зале. Потом как-то из школы сделали кочегарку в клуб, но вот из-за того, что там что-то неправильно, видать, сделали, там не отоплялось. В общем, потом там сделали всё-таки кочегарку, потом там что-то опять какие-то проблемы. В 1990-е года началась вот эта вот разруха-то, и не было финансирования на эту кочегарку. Так потом этот клуб по-хорошему даже и не функционировал. Несколько лет так его вообще не открывали. Зрительный зал ничего такой, нормальный, сейчас там концерты проводим. Вот обидно, да. Вот за это здание обидно!»

“Our first club was in the church. No, not this one, not the Nikolskaya church, but the one with the stoves – the Nativity church. There was a club there, and later, in the early 1980s, they built a brick club. It was such a huge building. But the club was there for a few years only, because for some reason every year there were some problems with heating. In the first winter, I think, the system got frozen there, and the club was moved to the administration building, and they ran movies in the hall. Then they somehow managed to transfer the boiler line from the school to the club, but I think they messed it up, because there was no heating. They finally made a proper boiler house, but there were some problems there again. In the 1990s, when the country was collapsing, there was no funding for the boiler house. So, the club didn’t function properly again. For several years it was closed altogether. The hall there is fine, it's normal, we hold concerts there now. It’s a shame, yes. I feel so sorry for this building!”
